GOP official to trans Rep. Zoey Zephyr, Mont. LGBTQ community: Your existence "should be punishable by death"

GOP Precinct Captain has a long history of death threats at Rep. Zoey Zephyr & LGBTQ people condoned by his fellow republicans.

Days after Montana elected their first transgender woman Zoey Zephyr and nonbinary representative SJ Howell, Aaron J. Leas fumed, “There are consequences for this, to which you have ignored. The pendulum will swing back the other way. Then all your cries will fall on deaf ears. Cause you simply refused to respect our societal boundaries.”

In a follow-up post Leas said, “…tr*nnies have no place in society,” while describing Zephyr as a “mentally unfit drag pedophile tranny F*ggot.”

Leas, who according to his Gab social media bio, is a Montana Oath Keeper, combat veteran, Christian, and “Elected Precinct 20 Captain of East Helena.

Leas already had an extensive and even public history of threatening violence against LGBTQ people before training his bigotry at the newly elected Zoey Zephyr. In fact, he'd made national news for threatening a drag queen story hour in Helena.

After he claimed police visited him after he previously sought to shut down a "demonic" drag queen story hour, someone said LGBTQ people aren’t “child groomers.”

Leas, of course, lashed out them as being a “groomer" before saying, “Your lifestyle is degenerate, and you will all be destroyed eventually. We will not co-exist.”

Soon after, he his bio said the Montana GOP elected him as a Precinct Captain.

In language mirroring Leas's in a post by "The Montana Man"—who also claims to be an Oath Keeper, Veteran, and "elected to office"—

This is fine. Just another Montana GOP “elected ro office” person having a normal one talking about furry lampshades before writing bills while thinking our existence “should be punishable by death.”

…anti-Semitic threats against Jews in Missoula were praised.

"Suck a dick, liberal f****ts we are coming there is nothing you can do to stop this unles you self-deport,” they said. "You went to far, when the pendelum swings back in our favor...I will ignore your cries for mercy."

Note the "pendelum swings" comment. Totally not a total coincidence. Nor is being an Oathkeeper…

This post seemed to coincide in the weeks after the republican’s "normal account" had posted about watching a Holocaust denial "documentary" popular amongst Nazis called, Europa.

In February, Leas—in support of so-called Freedom Caucus Rep. Braxton Mitchell's anti-drag show bill who claimed all drag shows caused him sexual arousal in his bill—shared a "call to action" from a known Montana Nazi account that literally has Hitler as the avatar as he stated at LGBTQ people, "These demonic people need a rope and a millstone.”

The "millstone" is a reference to how far-right Christians claim they want to execute LGBTQ people by tying a millstone around their neck and drowning them.

After I investgated Nazi vandalism which included a swastika carved into a Native American sacred site, "The Montana Man" alt account said, "Some Tr*nny Prarie N**er K*ke F***t Drag Bitch is on a mission,” in response to my apparent disrupting of local Nazi operations. They continued:

"Only thing keeping you fucking degenerates alive is a federal government with guns, thats not gonna be much protection soon either, we would gladly islam the fuck out of ever lgbtq f*ggot tr*nny we find, haha I love saying that. We will islam the fuck out of you f*ggots."

Again, note the Muslim/Islamic comment as a supposed theocratic justification to murder me that the Aaron J Lea's account used against Rep. Zephyr.

This is the type of thing Montana politicians used to run like hell from, but now it seems the so-called Montana Freedom Caucus has raced toward Leas—hence they elected him.

Stay classy with the anti-Semitism, Montana GOP.

State Sen. Theresa Manzella said LGBTQ people having to live in fear while walking down the street were “normal consequences associated with the choices they made.” She’d defiantly post on Facebook in response to the backlash, “My right to live a righteous lifestyle based on my sincerely held beliefs does not end where their choice to live a perverse lifestyle begins.”

She said this while defending renowned book burning Pastor Brandon Huber and her ally, (former) Pastor Jordan Hall before he tucked tail back to Missouri after being charged with a Xanax-induced DUI. Hall was also being investigated for allegedly stealing more than $10,000 from his church, and allegedly strangling and threating family members, according to police reports.

Pastor Hall was a favorite amongst Freedom Caucus members, and Montana Republicans actually presented Hall with a "Montana's Best Conservative News Source" award.

In a religious blog called Protestia, Hall wrote, “Not a single Republican in Montana would refuse my call, including the governor, who I prayed with on the phone only recently.”

Which is—unlike most of his writings—probably one of the %100 truest things he said.

Reason #183 Montana LGBTQ people feel unsafe.

Disclosure: I actually successfully sued Hall for libel and won after he made up a story about me harassing Montana republican legislators at the Capitol, primarily focusing on a fabricated story in which Hall claimed I yelled in the face of an elderly Senator until I was pulled away.

In response to my libel case, one seemingly mentally distuebed Hall supporter—who happened to be convicted violent rapist of a 15-year-old—traveled hundreds of miles to look for me while bizarrely claiming I was involved in a "child pornography cover-up."

This is the type of bullshit they inspire.

Just weeks prior on Feb. 1, 2022 Montana District Court Judge John Parker, in reference to the dangerous rhetoric espoused by Hall, wrote a memo to the Cascade County Bar Association stating:

I urge each of you to review the news reports and bear security issues closely in mind during times when you and your clients have business in the courthouse. It is critical that you take a personal interest in your own safety and the safety of your clients, your colleagues, court personnel and judges.

When a judge feels compelled they have to say that, and the GOP was instead trying to undermine and discredit judges instead of tone it down? Yeeshus.

Rep. Braxton Mitchell, like his good friend Hall, has frequently shared faleshoods against the LGBTQ people, frequently claiming they are trying to "groom" children for sex in defense of his anti-drag show bill.

Predictably, his supporters call for the exectution of LGBTQ folks as a result of the violence he tries to instigate.

He's also tried to stir outrage after falsely accusing the Uvalde shooter—who killed 19 children and 2 teachers—of being transgender.

Recently, he seethed and unironically said children were openly shitting in catboxes in school bathrooms all across the America in an apparent effort to associate this well debunked and ludicrous claim with being transgender, I guess?

Your brains are cat shit. What now? You gonna violence me now? The line goes around the block for people who want to do that.

There are countless remarks like that from the Montana Freedom Caucus, and member Jeremy Trebas, (of course himself a proud Jordan Hall supporter) has shared numerous tweets about Zoey Zephyr calling her a sexual predator who "should be kept far away from children."

Imagine being Rep. Zephyr and you have to work with chuds like Jeremy Trebas who constantly claim you're trying to have sex with little kids. This is what being trans means in Montana 2023.

What evidence does Trebas have of Zephyr being a sexual predator?

Zero.

He knows he is being a piece of shit liar and bully by accusing someone of being a pedophile—just like the entire Freedom Caucus knows they’re lying when they claimed Zephyr was trying to get people to commit a mass shooting against them.

Zephyr's thoughtcrime was saying the next time the Montana GOP invokes their God in prayer (who apparently says “thou shalt bear false witness”), she hopes they "see the blood on your hands" in reference to how all of these pointless, anti-LGBTQ bills that have caused needless ostracization and harassment leading people just trying to live their lives to commit suicide or self-harm because they feel so unwanted.

It is well-known Montana consistently has one of the highest suicide rates in the U.S.

For fuck's sake, one of me and Zoey's mutual trans friends committed suicide last summer year—just days before I co-hosted a literary festival in Missoula. We began both days of the festival by honoring her memory.

She was our friend, god damn it.

She wasnt mean to anyone, yet so many people were mean to her.

But again, the party of "bearing false witness" wants people to think Rep. Zephyr was promoting a mass shooting against them.

Saying "The blood on your hands" is a common saying and stupid reason to conclude someone is promoting violence when she's obviously trying to merely protect the LGBTQ community from the sort of accepted violence and rhetoric we endure daily from people like the Freedom Caucus constantly claiming we want to have sex with children.

On Transgender Day of Visibility, literal armed Nazis marched and yelled death threats at LGBTQ people in Missoula—whom Zephyr represents—and their families for several minutes with chants that LGBTQ people needed to be “put down” like dogs, and "Pedophiles get the rope!"

Another chant was, "Weimar conditions require Weimar solutions!" which is in reference to the Weimar Republic of Germany being mostly accepting of queer and transgender people before Hitler took power.

GOP be like: Free speech for Nazi, but not for Zoey.

I never saw one Montana GOP politician speak out against that, or express concern about it, but these Nazis did proudly lobby for GOP policies, figure, so why would they?

Representative of who, exactly? Oh, these fucking guys.

If you ask any Montana Freedom Caucus politician about it, they'll never condemn Nazis, or their friend their Leas who constantly threatens Zephyr and LGBTQ folks with violence.

They will just stonewall you, cuz they secretly believe the Nazis and Lea's are correct. They might say or imply at most, “That's the Nazi's and Leas's ‘free speech’ right to say we need to kill you for being LGBTQ.”

They will just bear false witness. Tell you more lies about her being a supposed mass shooter supporter and child sexual predator. Purposefully misgender her because “free speech,” you know?
