Jews will not replace Jeremy “Carpetbagger” Carl of Humanities Montana.

Weeks after a white nationalist Humanities Montana board member Jeremy "Carpetbagger" Carl praised the anti-Semitic and LGBQ-phobic Kiwi Farms website that tech magazine Gizmodo calls "an online forum best known for harboring stalkers, white supremacists, and overall being one of the worst cesspits the internet has to offer" in a bizarre transphobic hitpiece targeting representative Zoey Zephyr, he scoffed at Montanans who complained.

In a statement to the Huffington Post addressing his position as a Humanities Montana board member, Carpetbagger Carl dismissed backlash from concerned Montana citizens, "The far-left’s hysterical and hilarious campaign to silence and intimidate me will backfire badly," he said.

The Jewish magazine Forward noted Kiwi Farms likes to keep a “kill count” of how many people they harassed into suicide.

In contrast to Humanties Montana's Carl's claims that Kiwi Farms does great "investigative journalism" the site is renowned for mass harassment of trans, Jewish, and disabled people's families and one Jewish target of their harassement, Yonah Gerber, told Forward, "This was a website whose entire purpose was to cause people to die."

Days after Carpetbagger Carl’s bizarre piece (which obsessed over Zephyr's genitals in an attempt to mock her) Zephyr's fiance was predictably a victim of SWATing (calling in fake violent crimes to police in hopes the victim is killed or arrested), and the next day there was attempt to SWAT Zephyr.

Carpetbagger Carl has infamously used known white nationalist websites in other pieces to support his "Humanities Montana" beliefs and unapologetically expresses a desire to stop all diversity due to "great replacement theory" beliefs popular amongst Nazis.

Carl has even quoted a Nazi organization for a source to support his personal viewpoints, American Renaissance, which Southern Poverty Law Center calls "one of the vilest white nationalist publications, often promoting eugenics and blatant anti-black and anti-Latino racists."

For his so-called "think tank" publication which seems to serve white nationalist ideas and push Q Anon-ish conspiracy theories to overthrow democracy in lieu of totalitarian fascism by claiming Donald J. Trump won the election.

Many libs were owned that day after promoting Carl's think tank way of thinking. Oh wait…

Despite openly mocking them, the rest of the Humanities Montana board gave a spineless response to Carpetbagger Carl, excusing his statements and saying we will continue "to engage with issues of freedom of expression" of a fellow board members promoting white nationalism and the targeted harassment of Montana trans folks.

In an interview with the Daily Montanan, chairperson David Dietrich said he expects board members to not be abusive to minorities, but defended Carl by saying Carl's statement to the Huffington Post representing himself as a board member didn't represent himself...as a board member.

"Jeremy has not done that to his credit," Dietrich incredulously said, even though Carl literally said in his Huffington Post statement:

"I joined the board of Humanities Montana because I care about the growth and quality of the humanities in Montana. Unfortunately, the organization does not have a democratically accountable governance structure and has thus historically been controlled by the far left, which is totally unrepresentative of Montana, but which feels, as they do everywhere, that they “own” the humanities, and that dissenting voices and perspectives, including those of conservative Republicans like me, cannot be allowed. This intolerant leftist attitude, hardly unique to Montana, has led to a tragic decline in relevance and prestige of the humanities throughout the country. The far-left’s hysterical and hilarious campaign to silence and intimidate me will backfire badly."

So, a book banning, anti-art fascist who bashes LGBTQ people as his seeming primary political philosophy and denounces any culture not white nationalist enough for him wants to whine about intolerance.

Okayyy.

I am not by any means rich. I am and have been the epitome of starving artist who is constantly behind on bills and rent as I constantly rely upon side hustles which include hard labor to support said art and activism.

My other gig of throwing flowers fell through.

I was due to make probably some $800.00 in long-awaited speaking engagement fees I was counting on for income on behalf of Humanities Montana, but now I refuse to accept that if they're too chickenshit to do anything beyond giving me a bland, patronizing copy paste of their mission statement or whatevs when I express concern.

General complaints to Humanities Montana regarding their white nationalism and LGBTQ-phobic beliefs within their org have been met with a generic, copy paste form letter reply disingenuously having the audacity to lecture people about how they extoll the virtues of diversity or…whatevs.

One board member, David Allen Cates, dismissed my concerns by saying there are people with bad opinions everywhere, ergo it was acceptable he sit at the literal table with a white nationalists who will continue to dehumanize me.

The rest of the board claims because Carl is appointed by the Governor, they have no choice but to stand by him.

This is not true. They have at least 3 choices I can think of off the top of my head:

a) they can sit at a table with a white nationalists transphobe.

b) Do more than hand-wring and say you agree to disagree and make a public statement or file a complaint with a spine without making excuses for blatant racists and LGBTQ-phobia.

c.) Resign in protest because you don't want to sit at a table and give credibility to the likes of white nationalist transphobes who want to see people like me genocided.

What the actual fuck, Humanities Montana?

Now, I will travel over 450 miles on my own dime, because what I lecture on is how trans/Two Spirited people have existed in Montana's Indigenous cultures since time immemorial, and this is my way of resistance and combatting ignorance espoused by the likes of Carl.

Now, a lot of people think I am foolish for not taking the Humanities Montana money, but money is fleeting.

I said even if I have to pawn stuff, Humanities Montana will not lord money over me and claim, "See? We support both sides!" and tokenize me as some sort of enabling 'pass' for white nationalism and LGBTQ-phobia.

Thanks to dime a dozen “thought leader” grifters like Carl who deem me a pawn and not a person, Montana conservatives think I want to have sex with their children for being LGBTQ.

As a result of such dehumanizing narrarives espoused by his ilk, the State of Montana has stripped all my legal existence as a trans person.

I am now out of existence. I type this from the Other Side.

Humanities Montana can't buy that back, but they could at least stand up against some carpetbagger who constantly dehumanizes people like me.

The people at Humanities Montana don't know what it’s like to have to feelthat terrible apprehension to wait for a literal act of Congress, or a Supreme Court decision ruling just to see if the Civil Rights Act of 1964 applies to you just because of who you are and the way you’re born.
