Montana Dems resoundingly voted against call for humanity in Palestine
Disturbing: democratic staffers & organizers fired or threatened to be fired if they showed sympathy for starving Palestinian kids
A Palestinian child stands in front of where her home used to be.
Sources say Montana democratic leadership voted against a proposed general statement described as an apolitical appeal to remember our humanity as 13,000 children, 9,000 women, and 31,000 (as according to the latest numbers) have now been being killed in Gaza.
One presumes the lone vote against killing civilians was the presenter of the statement, and if asked, the dems will likely hide behind nondisclosure agreements as their reasoning to not explain why genocide should be met with…more silence.
It must be noted some democrats wanted to vote for the resolution until told they'd be ostracized by party leadership at the behest of powerful U.S. Senator Jon Tester, who faces a highly contested election which the fate of the control of the entire U.S. Senate lies in the balance.
Confirmed: the fate of the Galactic Republic lies with my Jedi Knight writing skills “in a last-ditch attempt to settle the conflict...”
But seriously, I wasn't just being a melodramatic nerd about the ‘control of the Senate.’
According to OpenSecrets.org, during the 2018 Tester versus “Maryland Matt” Rosendale election in which President trump came to the state four times, “outside spending on Montana’s Senate race topped $44.5 million. About $22.3 million of that was targeting Tester, with $4.3 million in support of Tester and about $17 million in opposition to the incumbent Senator.”
So with this in mind, democrats have fired young humanitarian-minded staff and organizers for simply being anti-slaughtering of Palestinian civilians; this while others have resigned in protest with non-disclosure lawsuits looming above them if they speak out.
But sometimes one's conscious, or the disiengenous label of possibly being called antisemitic, weighs too heavy—especially as the slaughter continues, children starve, and Netanyahu throws a middle finger at “red lines” imposed.
And dear dems reading this who disapprove of my pacifism:
You going to call me antisemitic, too? Pfft.
Only MAGA chuds (well, plus Montana dem leadership who bully people with less power) are stupid enough to claim being anti-Netanyahu equates to being antisemitic, but sure, claim that's what me and my “radical left” comrades are.
Confirmed: Times of Israel—known antisemites.
You know who does the dirty, grimy, unrecognized work of combatting actual antisemitic, violent Nazis?
Me and other anon comrades—which includes Jewish antifascists—who stand together in solidarity. We know all too well fascist violence is intersectional to us BIPOC, LGBTQ, and of course Jews.
Nazi Andrew “Sal” Salacinski aka “Covenant Soldier” likes me cuz I am antisemitic like he is. Oh wait, no he fucking doesn't. Oh, Sal…🙄
I get you don't want to be wrongly accused as antisemitic by the Anti-Defamation League, but you became so authoritarian you fired people for wanting peace, and disillusioned young people resigned in protest!
Maybe don't fire people who 'get' why young voters want at least see their pro peace voices acknowledged and not silenced just like every dbag theocrat or fascist authoritarian wants to do as they hide behind flimsy claims of antisemitic hate speech.
DeSantis and Great Replacement Theory antisemitic guy Elon Musk? Some ‘side’ you chose.
In 2018, Tester credited he Native American vote as key to his success to winning the election.
“Native voter turnout was high and I am humbled by the support I received from Montana’s Native people,” he said.
Our Indigenous ancestors' voices were first heard across these lands now called Montana for 10,000 years, and as much as people tried to genocide us, you can't silence all our voices.
Solidarity.
It's very fucked democratic organizers had to hide their faces lest they be theoretically fired if they were at pro Palestine peace rally despite their loyalty to the party and Montana.
It wasn't about being anti-LGBTQ or pro-hate, but for being pro peace and maybe anti-fascist against Netanyahu.
I am reminded of the September 2023 statement of former Native legislator, Barbara Bessett, who her decision to withdraw her candidacy wrote, “At this moment where human rights are so gravely under threat, I strongly believe that we must not waver in their protection.”
I mean, shit. What she said.
While my politics can basically be described as progressive, I ain't beholden to any political party.
I am always antifascist, however, and in this case if the chilling of free speech and fascism came from the Montana democrats at the behest of Tester, apparently.
Confirmed: Adria, known antisocialite.
As Aidan Reed noted in response:
“I know it probably won't, but I hope Barbara's candidacy withdrawal leads to some real soul searching and introspection among Montana's Dem party leaders as to why some of their best talent feels so unwelcome within the party.”
Or, maybe don't soul search. Keep silencing young voices who spoke out for peace. Don't progress. Don't apologize.
Can't silence me though if you want to spit on your Indigenous constituents.
As Bessett says, dems “…cannot continue to just give lipbservice and watered down messaging, or just show up when it's time to collect votes.”
ADL ain't got shit on me. See you on the campaign.🇵🇸
